Russell is currently playing Danny in the UK tour of BRASSED OFF, a co-production between Theatre By The Lake, Stephen Joseph Theatre and Octagon Bolton.

He played John Heminges in the European Premiere of THE BOOK OF WILL, a co-production between Bolton Octagon, Queens Theatre Hornchurch and Shakespeare North Playhouse.

Russell won a UK theatre Award for Best Production for Young People with The Hobbit and an NTA for Best New Play with An August Bank Holiday Lark.
